Datagems sits on the portal pages, next to the menu options to the left. They are manually selected with the remote control. The specification for the datagems are:

1) Size
Datagems measure 240x290 pixels and should have a file size no greater than 17k

2) Background
The portal has the same background across the menu pages (R0 15 B95). All datagems should be designed with this background colour in mind.

3) Layout
There is no mandatory template for datagems, however our recommended has a two or three line headline at the top of the page, a logo at the foot of the page (240x50) and an image in between. The fonts used are Helvetica Neue Extended and Helvetica Neue light. You may download the datagem template from the "downloads" section.

4) Animation
Datagems can be animated,maximum 4 frames providing it does not exceed the max file size of 17k. Please submit as animated gif.
Please note that all datagems must conform to ntl’s design specifications.
