There are three essential elements to creating a campaign:
- directional media
- a microsite
- a well-formed URL
Directional media: Banners, datagems or interstitials link through to a microsite or existing TV internet site. Please see the individual requirements for examples of each media.
Microsites: mini websites created using ntl templates or by re-purposing a current website. If you are a first-time developer, we strongly recommended that you download and use the microsite templates provided.
Although the templates may seem more creatively restrictive than re-purposing a website, they have some significant benefits to the advertiser. They:
- are guaranteed to work (the code has been tested)
- allow for faster development times
- allow for quicker sign-off and publishing
- are less expensive to develop
And, you can mix & match from a range of different templates.
Splash Screen:
A splash screen is a single page of essential information, similar to a full page press ad. The user is directed to the splash screen through directional media, the splash screen usually includes a direct response number.
The splash screen is included in the cost of directional media, so is a very cost effective way of reaching the digital cable audience.
A well-formed URL: This is a URL that's associated with a domain that clicks-through to your microsite. Unfortunately, we can't accept IP addresses.
Other inventory: Additional inventory is available for use with your ad campaign, namely: sponsorship, and the linear broadcast EPG video window.
